Company history
Toronto’s Trusted Partner for Secure & Sustainable Tech Disposal.
We make responsible e-waste recycling simple, secure, and local. From downtown condos to Markham offices, we handle your old tech so you don’t have to worry.
📖 Our Story
Toronto is a fast-moving, tech-forward city. But when it comes to getting rid of old electronics, most of us hit a wall. Homeowners stash broken laptops and old hard drives in closets because they’re unsure how to dispose of them safely. Small businesses pay premium prices for basic IT cleanup. And too much of the city’s tech ends up in landfills or shipped overseas with no accountability.
We started AR Recycle to change that.
Founded right here in the GTA, we built a service that combines enterprise-grade data security with neighborhood-friendly accessibility. No confusing pricing. No hidden fees. No vague promises. Just certified destruction, transparent recycling, and a team that actually picks up the phone when you call.
Today, we’re proud to serve hundreds of Toronto residents, clinics, schools, and businesses, helping them reset their tech, recycle responsibly, and renew their commitment to a cleaner city.
🎯 Our Mission & Goal
Our Mission
To make responsible e-waste recycling simple, secure, and accessible for every home and business in Toronto — with free pickup, certified data destruction, and zero hassle.
Our Goal
To divert thousands of pounds of e-waste from Ontario landfills while building a trusted, local network where every Torontonian knows exactly where their old tech goes and feels good about it.
💎 Our Core Values
Everything we do is guided by four non-negotiable principles:
🔒 Security First
Your data is your most valuable asset. We don’t just “delete” files — we physically destroy storage media using NIST 800-88 compliant methods. Every drive is tracked, shredded, and documented with a digital Certificate of Destruction.
🌍 Zero Waste to Landfill
We don’t believe in “throwing things away.” Through EPRA-approved downstream partners, we recover precious metals, safely neutralize hazardous components, and refurbish working devices for local schools and nonprofits.
🏙️ Community Driven
We’re Toronto-based, Toronto-operated, and proud of it. From Liberty Village condos to Vaughan industrial parks, we know the city. We hire locally, support local charities, and keep 100% of collected e-waste within Ontario’s recycling stream.
🤝 Radical Transparency
No surprise fees. No fine print. You’ll always know exactly what we accept, how we process it, and where it ends up. From our $15 hard drive pricing to our serialized business tracking, trust is built through action, not marketing.
